Meridien Realty’s property manager, Alexandra Mannis, shares insight into the benefits of home staging and styling.

Home staging and styling can both make a significant difference in how quickly your property sells or is leased and for how much. The goal is to create a neutral, spacious environment that allows others to imagine themselves living in the home.

The first step is decluttering — removing excess belongings or furniture, basically anything that could distract potential buyers or renters when they inspect the property. Next comes depersonalising the space. Remove family photos and personal mementoes to make the home more universally appealing. Then, strategically place furniture to enhance flow and maximise space.

The final step is home styling, which includes adding accessories like throws, blankets or decorative pillows to sofas and beds, as well as rugs. Placing fresh flowers in a vase will help create an inviting atmosphere. When done right, combining staging and styling makes rooms feel bigger, brighter, and more welcoming, helping you get the best possible price.

If you’d like to talk with me about your home or investment property and how a home like yours could attract more interest through home staging and styling, please do not hesitate to call me.
